Searching the DeKalb County
Real Estate Database

To search this database use the select boxes to the left to choose search options. Then click the "Search" button at the bottom of the column. Matching properties will be displayed in the area to the right, replacing the map.

It is not necessary to use every option. For example you might like to search by only number of bedrooms and price range. The more specific you make the choices, the fewer properties will be listed. If you wish to see more properties, just change one or more of your criteria and click the "Search" button again. If you wish to start over you may click on Reset. Using the Clear button will clear all criteria and replace the selected list of properties with the map.

Advanced search

The basic set of search criteria may be expanded by clicking on "Advanced Search". Using this in combination with the basic search gives you even more control over the property selection. You may also enter an PLS Number directly to view that specific property.

Matching Properties

When the list of matching properties appears, you may scroll down or up to see the entire list. The total number of properties found will be displayed, and you may choose how many you want to see listed at one time. Select 5,10, 15, or 20. Then click on the ID # of the one you want to view in detail. If you selected "Show Pictures" by placing a check in the box, you may also click on the small photo to view that property. A more complete description plus a photo will appear in a separate window.

You may be able to contact the agent or listing broker by e-mail or through their web site directly from the property page. Just click on the mail or web icon if one appears alongside the Agent name or Company name.

Other Functions

While reviewing a list of properties you may sort the list in various sequences. Look at the titles of the columns at the top of the list. If a small set of arrows (up and down to allow ascending or descending sequence) appear, then you may rearrange the list based on the values in that column. Price, Acres, and Area are typical examples. If you change selection criteria, the sequence last chosen remains in effect. To change to another sequence, sort on another column or select the other arrow.

Using the list of functions at the top of your screen, you may easily switch between types of property (Residential, Commercial, Lots and Land, or Farms), View the area map in a window, or access these "Help" instructions at any time. To return to the main home page for the DeKalb County Association of Realtors select "Home".
